A Notion Workbook for Plan(it)*!

Between kindergarten illnesses, cross country travel for my dad's funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery, and a baby who isn't sleeping for longer than 3 hours in her crib (update: since I drafted this post we've gotten two 7.5 hour nights! Could be a fluke but I'll take it), I haven't felt much like writing a more in-depth blog post.

What I have been enjoying is playing around in Notion so I figured I'd write a brief update on the Notion workbook for plan(it)*.

I've been experimenting with different workbook styles for the course and added 2 digital workbooks a few months ago. One can be used with note-taking apps on your tablet and the other you can type directly into in a pdf. Here's a little preview of what they look like.

I also knew that I wanted to create a plan(it)* workbook in Notion but needed to wrap my brain around how I'd structure it. So... that's what I've been thinking about/playing around with during all my time spent nursing/holding the baby in the glider. I'll be adding the workbook to the course in the coming weeks but I thought I'd show you a peek inside as I finish things up. Check out the 2 videos below to see what it looks like.

Another (non-plan(it)*) Notion related update that has big implications for how I structure my project tasks and do my weekly planning is the addition of grouping to Notion databases where you can easily group tasks by project (or whatever you want). Previously, I was doing this manually so I was thrilled to learn they made it a built-in feature (as I'm sure many people were!). If you're a Notion user and haven't checked out this new feature you should definitely try it out.

Other than playing around with Notion while I rock in the glider, I've also thoroughly been enjoying re-reading Garth Nix's Old Kingdom series (currently reading Clariel) and was really excited to learn that he came out with a new book in the series earlier this month! I've also been watching Foundation and Ted Lasso and really trying to let my brain relax and enjoy every last second of my leave. A little over 2 weeks left. πŸ™ƒ
